University of Iowa Research Study-Participants Wanted!

Hello, my name is Laura Gallo. I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Iowa. I have also been a practicing high school counselor for the past 10 years. I would like to invite school counselors in Florida to participate in my research study related to high school counselors’ knowledge and self-efficacy related to suicide risk assessment. The details of the study are below.

You are invited to participate in a research study about high school counselors’ knowledge and self-efficacy related to suicide risk assessment. The researcher hopes to examine any potential relationships that may exist between training and current practice within the field. Your participation is voluntary.
If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete an online Qualtrics-created survey. You will be asked demographic questions as well as questions regarding your training and current practice as a school counselor. Lastly, you will be asked questions related to knowledge and self-efficacy regarding suicide assessments. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The study make take you more or less time to complete. You may opt to withdraw from the study at any time.
If you have any questions regarding this study, please contact Laura Gallo at (319) 654-5246 or at laura-gallo@uiowa.edu.
