Special Topic Presentation at the FSCA Convention

Common Core and the School Counselor - Mark and Nicole Duslak Common Core has arrived. Counselors are—and will continue to be—an integral component of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) implementation. Topics include learning about the CCSS, how they will impact teaching and learning, and how they will be implemented in the upcoming years. An easy-to-understand framework for explaining the CCSS to students and parents will also be provided.

The Florida School Counselor Association (FSCA) expands the image and influence of professional school counselors through advocacy, leadership, collaboration and systemic change at the state level. FSCA empowers professional school counselors with the knowledge, skills, linkages, and resources to promote student success in the school, the home, the community, and the world. In addition to other goals, FSCA provides timely, relevant information exists that supports professional school counselors and student advocacy.
