The Adler School of Professional Psychology

The Adler School of Professional Psychology is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full time core faculty position for its M. A. Counseling Program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling starting Spring, 2014. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates are required to have a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program, experience in teaching, supervision of practicum/internship students, clinical practice; and eligibility for Illinois counselor licensure. Preference will be given to those experienced in teaching online/blended formats, expertise in teaching Research & Program Evaluation, Assessment/appraisal, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Couple and Family Counseling, and Substance Abuse. 

This position requires the teaching of evening and weekend classes. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and professional staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include teaching, advising and mentoring students, participation in institutional and departmental committees, admission efforts, advising/ mentoring students, as well as support of department and institutional initiatives. Candidates must be willing to align with the School’s mission and values which is training socially responsible practitioners, engaging communities, and advancing social justice.
