Over the past 10 years, the ASCA National Model has been a gem for the school counseling profession. But students, schools and school counselors change, and the National Model has been polished and buffed to provide the most effective direction for the development of comprehensive school counseling programs that will continue to shine. Speakers
Carol Kaffenberger, Ph.D., is a faculty associate, counseling and human development, at Johns Hopkins University and an associate professor emerita, counseling and development, at George Mason University. She has been an ASCA National Model trainer since 2006.

Eric Sparks, Ed.D., is assistant director, ASCA. Previously he was director, school counseling for Wake County Public Schools, N.C., and is a former ASCA president.
