Harlem Globe Trotters Visit School for Homeless Youth

As a reward for winning the Howard Johnson Hotel brand’s nationwide “The Give Happy Challenge,” homeless students at Metropolitan Ministries Partnership School in Tampa got a private visit from the world-famous Harlem Globe Trotters. The school also received $15,000 as part of the national competition that challenged people to make others happy. Students were thrilled by the Globetrotters’ signature basketball wizardry while learning about the team’s “C.H.E.E.R.™ for Character” program that promotes Cooperation, Healthy mind and body, Effort, Enthusiasm and Responsibility. The school will use the money to provide clothing, supplies and educational experiences for the students.
